Reiki is a safe and non-invasive natural healing modality. A Reiki session is offered to a fully clothed recipient lying on a treatment table or sitting in a chair.
By the laying on of hands the Reiki practitioner channels healing energy and places their hands gently on the recipients body or just above the body on major energy centers called chakras.
The practitioner will change the positioning of their hands several times as the treatment progresses. The recipient may feel warmth or coolness, tingling or simply relaxed. Some may see colours, visuals, express emotions, smell familiar scents or even fall asleep.
The most common experience is an immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation.
After a session, recipients typically feel refreshed.
Sometimes feeling more tired than usual. This is simply the body‘s natural healing response. Reiki healing continues for the next few days following a treatment.
